My Experience At The Internship - 1178 Words

An essay is just not enough to summarize this wonderful experience I had over the summer. This internship has equipped me with skills that will be useful for a lifetime. My experience is summarized in the following categories: Choice of experience: After hearing about this experience from one of my professor in a class during my freshmen year, I knew this was something I would love doing. And soon after, I was part of the student fellowship colloquium that then leads up to the Internship. This experience gave me an opportunity to learn about character based leadership and seven virtues in the fellowship colloquium and I wanted to further apply this knowledge by participating in the internship. This Internship gave me the skills to work on my leadership skills and develop a professional network by developing business relationships. Learning outcomes: At the beginning of this experience, my focus was to improve my communication skills and come out of my comfort zone. Presentation coaching was one of the factors that attracted me to this internship and helped me work on these skills. We completed four weeks of individualized presentation coaching. During these 4 weeks I learned a lot about myself and discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I was always reluctant in expressing my opinions or thoughts and through presentation coaching I learned the right way to do so. I also learned how to carry myself in a confident way.
